Standard Jute Bags (Traditional Standard)

The “Poly-Liner” Approach

A thin, unsealed polyethylene plastic bag is placed inside the jute. While this is a minor upgrade, it should not be mistaken for true high-barrier packaging. The liner is not hermetic, offers minimal resistance to moisture vapor, and is easily punctured.

High-Barrier Packaging (HBP)

When shipping or storing green coffee, standard jute or woven bags are not enough to block out humidity and oxygen. That is where High-Barrier Packaging comes in.

  • The inner layer: a multi-layer plastic liner placed inside the outer bag to create an airtight, hermetic seal.
  • GrainPro inner bag + jute sack packaging: available in the 60 kg standard.
  • The outer layer: a traditional jute or polypropylene bag that provides structural strength and physical protection during transport.
